Frequently Asked Questions About Zip Lines

  1. I want to go on a zip line adventure but I’m afraid of heights – what do I do?
  2. ~Many people have a fear of heights, but they’re still able to enjoy going on a zip line adventure! You have to remember that you will be clipped (doubly) to a steel cable that is over a half inch thick. Our guides are trained to be with you throughout your entire adventure and to provide any amount of support that you need. You will have 2 guides with you on each line, also, when you are not riding the zip line and on the towers you are attached by a safety line at all times. At your highest point you will be 65 feet off the ground but the average is 35 feet.~
  3. Will I be very high?
  4. ~The average zip line adventure will take you anywhere from a few feet, to over seventy feet high, where you can get a great view of the Ozark's forest canopy as well as Branson! ~
  5. Seriously, is zip lining safe?
  6. ~Almost all adventure trips, including things like rock climbing or white water rafting, carry risks with them. Our course was designed to be as safe as possible. We use only the highest quality of equipment available, and everything is checked daily by our experts, who are also professionally trained. We do everything that we can to make sure that you will be as safe as possible during your adventure.
  7. How long is a zip line adventure?
  8. ~If you’re taking a tour, you’ll likely spend around 2 hours at the tour. It takes about 20 minutes to get oriented and to be trained in what you need to know, and the canopy tour tends to take around one hour and fifteen minutes to complete. You will get to ride all 7 zip lines that range from 200 to 2,000 feet long.~
  9. Do I have to do a lot of walking or hiking?
  10. ~Not much at all since your first tower is right outside the door in our parking lot. You will have to walk some steps up our spiral stairway and over three short walk-bridges but everything in between you'll be "zipping" along.~
  11. But I’ve never gone on a zip line adventure before!
  12. ~That’s okay! Most of our clients have never experienced the thrill of a zip line adventure before. That’s why our guides make sure that they give a complete orientation session before every training session, and why we make sure that we do everything we can to make you feel comfortable about your adventure.~
  13. Can anyone go on a zip lining tour?
  14. ~Our tour is designed for use by anyone who is over the age of three (children this young will tandem ride with one of our experienced guides). You must be over seventy pounds to ride alone. Any child who is between the ages of six and fifteen will not be allowed to experience a zip lining tour on their own, and will have to be accompanied by an adult the entire time they are at the park. The zip line is able to carry passengers who are between the weight of seventy and two hundred and seventy pounds. It is a requested that participants in a zip lining tour are in average health with no heart or back problems that might result in a worsening health issue.~
  15. Can you go on a zip lining adventure when you are pregnant?
  16. ~No, if you are pregnant you will not be allowed to go on a zip lining adventure, but we hope that you will contact us about an adventure after you have had your child.~
  17. Should I wear anything special?
  18. ~When you’re planning on going on a zip line adventure, the first thing that you need to do is to make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing. Skirts are not recommended, and you should not wear any type of jewelry that dangles. Close-toed shoes are required and anything that’s loose, like scarves, should be removed. If you have long hair, it should be tied back, and you should take everything out of your pockets, including cell phones, so that they do not end up hopelessly lost on the floor of the forest.~
  19. What if it’s cold?
  20. ~The temperature can drop when you’re going on a zip line during the winter months, so make sure that you dress appropriately. Thick socks, a warm jacket that can zip up, a warm winter hat, thermal underwear, and even a face mask can be helpful if you’re going to be on a zip lining adventure in the winter months.~
  21. Do I have to wear any special equipment?
  22. ~Your guide will fit you securely into a seat harness. You’ll also be given a helmet, gloves, a trolley system, which is what moves you throughout the cables, and 2 lanyards that have safety clips on them.~
  23. How about the rain? Can I go down the zip line in the rain?
  24. ~You can go down a zip line in the rain, but not if there is any lightening. We try to make sure that we contact everyone who is booked for a zip lining adventure in the event of a storm. If your adventure is canceled due to inclement weather, you can opt to reschedule or to have your money refunded.~

  35. Should I tip my guide?
